提到视觉系，不能不提X-japan，这个视觉系的开山鼻祖，现在视觉系的造型和音乐深受其影响。 X-japan带给日本的,不只是音乐的财富,虽然这支超级乐队的才华横溢在日本似乎只有“安全地带”可以与之媲美。更重要的是,他们带出了一种X的精神,永不言败的精神,革命的,反叛的精神。X前期的华丽服装和发型,曾一度被人是为是神经的,现在已成为了X的象征,作为视觉摇滚(VISUAL ROCK)的始祖,X-Japan对后代产生了深刻的影响,这不仅仅体现在行为,衣着上,更多的是体现在精神力量上。
